Bill also advises an easier way to get to Skelos.

Take Village Avenue North pasty Sunrise Highway. After about 3 blocks, make a left on Lakeview.

It will bring you to Peninsula. Make a right on Peninsula and proceed north. Skelos will be on the left just before the Southern State Parkway.
