Girls, once again it was a great weekend. You girls played excellent against some of the toughest competition we have ever had to date. This weekend helped us grow as a team and will help us to succeed in the regular league and State Cup games. A special thanks to Coach Larry for putting this whole thing together and organizing the party room and dinner on Saturday night. Thanks to the moms and dads for working out the carpooling situations and going out of the way to do laundry with that sole washing machine at the Marriot. You all showed class and poise even though the odds and calls were going against us. You kept your cool, kept playing your game, worked hard, and showed ultimate sportsmanship and class. It was unfortunate that everyone had to witness a coach being out of control, but you girls did nothing wrong, and you showed your true spirit by applauding the other team as they received their awards. It was also great that all the families and other siblings had a great time to get to know each other better. I think these type of tournaments are extremely important for people to get to know each other. The nicest part was that everyone was looking to go out of their way for everyone else. Twelve families who didn't really know each other that well prior to the tournament left as one big happy Lady Hurricane family. I am so happy to be part of this team and I hope the other families feel the same way. By the way, is anyone else having difficulty finding a space in the house to put that award? Coach Jeff.
